More hopeful signs

It looks like we are actively engaging the enemy around Baghdad, and this could well signal the start of a well-thought-out combat operation to destroy the insurgents and terrorists.

This would also seem to indicate (assuming this is the start of a larger offensive) the military does have the right equipment and right types of forces to conduct such an operation. I say, “Great, just do it.” But I also wonder why they have taken so long to organize and initiate this new effort. Maybe I’m a little too impatient, but if everything the military needed to go after these killers was already on-scene, why did the administration take so long (really about six weeks since the attacks intensified) to pull the trigger?

Just wondering.
